June 14 2015 | Transient Supercell

Storms went up along a boundary on this afternoon, an otherwise dull weather setup. My fiance` Sophie and I were sitting down watching a movie when I noticed a peculiar storm on radar just to our northwest, near the Mahomet area. The environment wasn't stellar, but sometimes storms just have that look. Sure enough, the weak little storm somehow found a way to rotate broadly and slowly, and while it provided some brief entertainment, and an excuse for Sophie to get out under a storm with me, the thing never posed a legitimate tornado threat.
