Early initiation of storms near the lunch hour ruined what was otherwise expected to be a classic panhandle day. Instead, storms erupted around Noon before the environment was ready, and the storms quickly became outflow dominant, dying out during the early afternoon leaving behind a contaminated environment that never recovered.

We returned to Amarillo and had an early dinner with Professor Jeff Frame and his students from the University of Illinois at the Big Texan Steakhouse.
